Botox has fast become one of the most sort after effective non-surgical treatments to give people a younger, glowing, line free appearance. The youthful appearance takes between three to seven days to appear. The effects of the Botox treatment will last between four to six months. For best results, it is advised that Botox Injection re-application is required 3 to 4 times per year.

Botox is injected into the specific muscles with a very fine needle; this blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles. The Botox injected muscles can no longer contract, causing the specific facial muscles to relax; this in turn softens the facial lines.
Having the Botox treatment is safe, quick and there is minimal discomfort however all Botox treatments must is conducted by a professional, qualified and registered nurse. The Botox treatment takes around 30 minutes depending on the area being treated and does not require any anaesthesia.
The advantages of having Botox treatment are that there are very little side effects. The most common side effect of having the treatment is headaches, these resolve within 24 to 48 hours, however this is extremely rare. A small number of people following treatment have developed dropping eyelids. This occurs because when the Botox moves around, you are advised to not touch the treated area for 12 hours or more after the treatment. This will usually resolve itself within three weeks.
NOTE: Those considering becoming pregnant or are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any form of neurological disorder should not use Botox.
